A model card for the classifier that produces HazardNet's hazard labels and severity indices: what it is, what it must not be used for, and where it is known to fail.
HazardNet publishes multi-hazard outlooks for all 64 districts of Bangladesh: eight hazard classes, a severity value and a confidence score per district and forecast date, on 7- and 15-day horizons.
Decision support for agricultural preparedness: more lead time to prepare fields, livestock and labour before a hazard window. Every figure is a planning input, not an order.
Not an official warning. Not evacuation guidance. Not insurance or credit assessment. Not a metre-scale flood map. Not validated for any use where a wrong number causes harm on its own.
Fast-onset events can outrun the forecast window. A missing run is shown as missing. Confidence scores are uncalibrated and can be high while the class is wrong: treat the two severity tracks as signals to check, not as truth.
Coverage is uniform across the 64 districts. The site needs no account for the map and forecasts. Location, if you enable it, is used on your device and is never uploaded.
Send the district, hazard, horizon and forecast date with what you observed on the ground, through the contact page. Ground-truth reports are how published skill metrics get built.
